"Sada ovde - tamo tada"

Utorak, 10. maj 2016. u 19h

Izložba pod nazivom Sada ovde - tamo tada sadrži trinaest crteža nastalih 2015.godine i trinaest slika nastalih 2016.godine u tehnici ulja i akrilika na platnu.

Aleluja.

Zoran Grebenarović
Here Now - There Then

Opening ceremony:
Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at 7 pm
Gallery 212, Vlajkovićeva 25

The exhibition will be open till May 24, 2016

Gallery 212 will present the latest production by Zoran Grebenarović, the artist who has an important place on our contemporary art scene past three decades.

The exhibition named Here Now - There Then contains thirteen drawings created in 2015 and thirteen paintings created in 2016 in oil and acrylic on canvas technique.

Grebenarević remains consistent with previous creative process that can be traced from the maturing of ideas in drawing to a the definitive solution in the painting, which is based on the drawing.

What is new in the already recognizable poetics of the artist are the changes in the technological approach to the painting that is reflected in the return to the classic format or canvas after thirty years.

... In visual artistic disciplines drawing has the task to be the first one which communicates with inspiration - idea, maintaining the freshness of the very beginning of creation.

This synapse between the metaphysical and the real plane is a fundamental characteristic of drawing and its creative energy.

Only humans can draw and use drawing to generate the face of their own deity, to define civilizations, delineate epochs and leave their mark in all of time.

...The work of art (drawing, painting, sculpture) must correspond with the present and it inevitably builds a bridge in time and continuum with three defining temporal qualities, past, present and future, uniting them in one place, into a creative reality.

This is not such an easy task for the contemporary art which, accepting this responsibility, also accepted the obligation to use its means (expression) to uniquely unite all the elements, with no profit, and mark the quality and character of the present moment - now.

... Contemporary art belongs to those who take this responsibility with a passion of a creator and the courage of a witness.

The paintings before you are my attempts and hopes that I have, with sufficient courage and responsibility, accepted the obligation to interpret the contemporary moment you and I share. Hallelujah.
